Location map of Volcán de Colima, the southernmost volcano of the Colima Volcanic Complex (CVC), in the western Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt (TMVB) after Crummy et al. (2014). Volcanism along the western TMVB is related to the subduction of the Cocos and Rivera plates under the North American plate.
